What is CSI

CSI (an acronym for Calculated Sensitivity Index) is a method for the assessment of insulin sensitivity from a short intravenous glucose tolerance test. CSI provides an insulin sensitivity index that is analogous to the Minimal Model SI obtained from the traditional 3h IVGTT. CSI has also been validated against the glucose clamp.

CSI is explained in the paper: A. Tura, S. Sbrignadello, E. Succurro, L. Groop, G. Sesti, G. Pacini Pacini An empirical index of insulin sensitivity from short IVGTT: validation against the minimal model and glucose clamp indices in patients with different clinical characteristics.
