OGIS has been developed at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering (ISIB) of the National Research Council (CNR). The development of OGIS has been in part funded by the European project RISC.

The OGIS web site has been designed by Andrea Mari and developed with the contribution of Nino Trainito, Claudio Cavaggion and Paolo Bison at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering. Giorgia Galiazzo and Alessandro Frigo, students of the Technical High School F. Severi, have contributed to the development of 1-2-3 OGIS.
